Design
The town hall in Tettnang was to be equipped with a total of 26 "window doors" that were to reflect a unique design. Each door consisted of a wooden frame covered with a special fabric, behind which an LED strip provided the lighting. All frames were connected to one another and could be centrally controlled in terms of light and music. Every day at 17.00 p.m. a "window" was opened by a music and light show. The design of each individual "door" was not only to reflect the festive Christmas season, but also to highlight the cultural significance of the town.
The implementation
Our agency was responsible for the creative design of the 26 windows, with particular emphasis on a harmonious combination of tradition and modernity. The challenge was to develop a design that honors the historic architecture of the town hall while exuding a modern, fresh atmosphere - a design that appeals to children and adults alike.
Each of the 26 windows was designed with loving illustrations that capture the magical atmosphere of Advent. Both playful and elegant design elements were combined. The doors combine classic Christmas motifs such as fir trees, snowflakes and lights with creative, modern interpretations that make each window lively and unique.
The illustrations fit seamlessly into the charm of the town hall by translating historical elements such as the castle itself into a modern, yet festive imagery. The choice of colours is based on traditional Christmas colours, but is enhanced with precious gold to give the project a luxurious aura.
